SIXTH GENERATION146. Samuel BLYTH was
born about 1778 in Boxted, Essex. He was made Executor to the will of his father,
Isaac Blyth, on 8 Apr 1824. He inherited all his fathers land and property on
26 Feb 1825. Samuel's father had land and property in Boxted and Langham. Out
of the profits of the farm Samuel was instructed to pay several annuities. After
the death of his mother Samuel was to receive the residue of his fathers personal
posessions. He was made Executor to the will of his brother, Thomas Blyth, on
4 Apr 1840. Samuel was not present when the will was proved in London on the
4th Jan 1841. There is no evidence to show he ever applied to be an executor
of his brothers will. He signed a Will on 29 Sep 1849. At the time of writing
his will Samuel was living in Colchester. He was formerly from Boxted. He died
on 26 Jul 1852. His Will was proved on 18 Oct 1852. He was buried in Lion Walk,
Colchester, Essex. Memorial inscription reads: In / Memory of / Samuel Blyth
/ Late of Boxted / in this County / who died July 26 1852 / Aged 74 years / Also
of / Sarah his wife / who died Jany 19 1860 / Aged 77 years / _____ slumbers
in the ground/ Till the last trumpets joyful sound / Then break the chains with
great surprise / And in our Saviours image rise. He was a farmer in Boxted,
Essex. When his Uncle, Thomas Blyth of Langham, wrote his will in February 1842
Samuel (the Elder) was a farmer in Boxted. Thomas left £750 to be divided
equally to Samuels children when they reached the ages of 21.
He was married
to Sarah BLOMFIELD on 14 Oct 1803 in Boxted, Essex. The marriage certificate
shows Samuel Blyth to have been living in Boxted, Essex.
Sarah BLOMFIELD was born in 1783 in Dedham, Essex. She inherited all her
husbands property, farming stock, personal posessions and money on 18 Oct 1852.
Samuel instructed that an inventory and valuation be made of all his farm stock,
furniture and personal effects when Sarah died. The farm property was to be offered
to the sons to buy, eldest first. If they didn't want any of the properties then
they would go to public sale. All proceeds would be split equally between the
surviving sons. She died on 19 Jan 1860. Sarah, 77, was living at 31 Queen
Street, Colchester at the time of her death. She was buried in Lion Walk, Colchester,
Essex. Memorial inscription reads: In / Memory of / Samuel Blyth / Late of Boxted
/ in this County / who died July 26 1852 / Aged 74 years / Also of / Sarah his
wife / who died Jany 19 1860 / Aged 77 years / _____ slumbers in the ground/

/ And in our Saviours image rise. 1851 Census: Sarah, 68, was living at 18 Angel
Lane, Colchester (St Martin) with her husband. Samuel BLYTH and Sarah BLOMFIELD
